There are lots of singers in this town and lots of burlesque dancers, but the draggy alter ego of Philadelphia soprano Marcelle McGuirk is, we’re pretty sure, the only person who can pull off an impeccable “Come Scoglio” by Mozart while stripping down to swinging tassels.

McGuirk and Hosseini had such wonderful chemistry, and their performances on stage together were electric. McGuirk’s angelic voice was a highlight throughout all four scenes, and she really soared during her aria.
